* 79% of people live on the east coast
* 66.9% of people live in the capital cities, 33.1% in regional areas
* The median age of an Australian is 38 years
* 29.3% of Australians were born overseas; 51.5% were either born overseas or had a parent born overseas
* Households are occupied by 70.5% families, 25.6% solo residents, 3.9% groups
* Australia’s housing mix is 70% detached houses, 16% apartments, 13% townhouses
