This is the question I get all the time from owners. Yes! Of course, you can. I’m Tina from Leifield Real Estate. So we are doing a routine inspection every 3 to 4 months. Now, when we book that in, we need to give tenants a minimum of 7 days’ notice that we are coming in to do the inspection. You say, we start scheduling a month’s worth of routine on the 15th of the month before.
When we do that, we let you know “Hey, we book to go on routine inspection for this property (to your property) at this stage at this time period”. If you like to go, reply to that email and you can come to the routine inspection at any time. So, we can then let the tenant know. By the way, also if owner isn’t come along, as long as you let us know 7 days before that date. And we giving you some time 6 weeks’ notice, that gives you plenty of time to juggle your schedule to see if you can come to that inspection. It is great if owners come along to routine inspection, you get to see what we see.
We can talk about that repair, we can talk about that refurbishment, we can talk about what’s coming up to your tenants and it’s great to see the owners. We talk to them all the time on the phone or on email, so it’s great actually to put, you know, a face to a name sometimes. If you want to go to your property, you are more than allowed as an owner. Don’t be afraid to come along to a routine inspection.
